This week many […] The last several General Assemblies of the PC(USA) have been called “apostate” and faithless because of some of their decisions, mostly relating to the ordination and recognition of homosexual people (LGBT). These words were thrown hard and received painfully by many on all sides of these issues. They were labeled as gutless by some who sought tougher statements about what is happening in Israel/Palestine. More often than not these epithets are often thrust by […] I have sat here in the aftermath of the resignation of Tara Spuhler McCabe as vice-mod of GA220, listening to our ecumenical partners try to help us remember our call to peace. I have moved beyond sad to anger. I am angry that a small and poisonous minority in our Church are able to cause so much divisiveness and bully their way to the center to effect such pain and suffering for our entire […] I am sitting in the plenary as commissioners gather to hear and discern further the work of the Church.
